Details

A fun way to meet new friends, get fit, and learn to feel confident again!
Zafirah, who is also a trained midwife and nurse, provides a safe environment and quality time both for yourself and your baby. Classes are relaxed and fun. Rest assured, you don't have to be a good mover - anyone can do it! Classes are on Mondays at 2-3pm at Parish Wharf Leisure Centre, Harbour Road, Portishead, Bristol (please try and arrive 10 mins early). Time and venue is subject to change, so please contact me to book a place. Cost is £20 in advance for a block of 4 sessions - it is not a drop in class. However please contact me if you cannot afford this - I would like this to be available to all mothers who want to come (numbers permitting).

What to bring: Your baby! (Yes they love dancing too!)  A blanket and cushion to lie your little one on and maybe a soft toy; a circular skirt or leggings for you to wear; a glittery hip scarf or belt to tie around those childbearing hips (don't worry, some provided too). Classes are geared towards new mums and pre-crawling babies but older siblings are welcome to join the crèche!

Health: These classes are fantastic for getting back into shape after having a baby, after all, the moves have all been tried and tested by women for hundreds of years! Please let me know if you have any injuries or pre-existing conditions prior to commencing class and only do what you feel ready to during the class. Please follow the advice of your GP or Health Visitor before resuming exercise post delivery. Generally (excluding complications) it is advisable for you to be 6wks postnatal following a normal delivery and 12 wks post caesarian section.
