Zafirah has a rare stage presence and
exuberance in her dance, and has inspired many women to learn this
ancient art form. The art of connecting with the audience and lifting
the atmosphere of an event is all in a day's work!
A fully insured member of Equity, she is
experienced with any size event ranging from small parties and
restaurant settings to large staged events and festivals. She will
provide a tailor-made
performance just for you, and with her specialty being improvisation
she will work around the conditions on the night to make it a memorable
event for everyone! You won't be disappointed!
Zafirah's student troupe The Rubies of
Zawah can also be booked for an event. They will require expenses or
donation to charity - so if you are on a budget
or have a smaller event
they are the perfect appetiser to lots of fun and frolics - expect them
to get eveyone in the room up and dancing!!!
They are also the perfect treat for
community festivals and events, and fundraising and charity
events.

Zafirah and The Rubies of Zawah can also
be booked together for a larger event involving lots of
mingling and a stunning show.

EXAMPLE of a TYPICAL
SET for a corporate dinner:-
Set 1. (15 mins.) As
guests are seated for dinner a slow atmospheric piece of Arabic music
begins and Zafirah performs a mysterious Arabian veil dance. A lively
piece of music follows and the audience clap along as she performs a
saiidi stick dance. Then, as they sit on the edge of their seats, she
performs a breathtaking double sword dance to finish.
Set 2. (15 mins.) Between
courses she dances from table to table whilst playing finger cymbals
accompanied by her drummer, encouraging people to join in if they dare!
Now in an even more elaborate costume she dances a complicated drum
solo routine. To round up the evening she finishes with a cheeky upbeat
belly
dance number.
